— Russell
|
Russell is one of the main antagonists, alongside Lance, in Stickin' Around. He follows him around on every single plan to bully Bradley. His stench is the reason why Stacy despises him.
Appearance[]
Russell wears a blue knit cap, black shirt, light blue shorts, and brown shoes. He appears to be mostly bald in the rare occasions he's seen without his cap, having very little hair on his head, as seen in "Disappearing Act", "Lassie Go Home", and "The Scarlet Pimple". However, in "Report Card of Doom" and "Wimbled'uh", he is shown with a full head of light brown hair.
His swimwear consists of an orange pair of swimming trunks with a light blue waistband, a sewn-on green patch, and a print of a cheese wheel.
At bedtime, Russell wears an orange onesie with a front zipper and a front flap.
Personality[]
Russell, at first glance, appears to be a quiet, dim-witted and thuggish boy, acting more as Lance's shadow than his only true friend. He gleefully accompanies Lance on his attempts to hassle the rest of the neighborhood without complaint, enjoying the havoc they can come up with together. However, in contrast to his taller companion, Russell doesn't seem all that tied to basic morality or social conventions, what with his distinctively "funky" smell and all.
Like any boy, he loves gross stuff, often being awed by boogers, bugs, germs, and other unconventional things. He is also known to be flatulent. Despite his rough, often disgusting exterior, Russell has a softer side. He has a fondness for dolls, dresses, and ballet, something that tends to greatly concern Lance. He also has a deep appreciation for music, particularly disco and rock and roll, and is known to wear an Elvis costume on occasion.
It has often been suggested that Russell is a lot more perceptive and emotionally intelligent than he lets on, from attempting to reassure Lance when left alone and scared of the dark in "Lights Out", to making deadpan quips on occasion. But at the end of the day, Russell, to most, is an enigma of a person, which at least explains his strong bond with Lance: he's among one of the few people willing to try and understand him.

Trivia[]
- Russell is the second shortest member of the cast before Polly, a fact made all the more interesting against him being among the eldest of the cast at 10 years old.
