The movie didn’t make first prize with the studio audience, but it was a hit with the police, who identified the robber using the gang’s movie, and the kids are rewarded with an envelope full of cash for their efforts in the end.

2b 2b "And the Wiener Is..."

The ritual of lottery ticket number selection is observed as each kid uses his or her own way of picking a number. Polly lets Pepperoni select a number. Zero. Dill calculates baseball stats. Melody counts the number of cracks she’s rolled over in her wheelchair on the way here. Bradley uses facts about Uranus, of course. Stacy does a sort of play on spin-the-bottle. Each kid fantasizes about how their life might change if they won the big one. Stacy imagines the life of an amazing entertainer, while Bradley is the best athlete in the universe. Polly tours the world and Dill is DJ at his own radio station, playin’ all the tunes real loud! They hide the ticket, but not well enough to fool Lance and Russell, who are clever enough to get their hands on the ticket, but not to keep it. In the end it’s Frank who holds the ticket. The gang matched one number, zero, which means they’ve won a ticket for the next draw. That’s enough to keep them going for another week.

3a 3a "Beware the Lunchwad"

At school Mr. Lederhosen is teaching “ How the Body Works.” An excellent lead in to a close up look at what the kids are having for lunch. Russell’s lunch takes on a life of its own and wreaks havoc in the Middlestick Elementary School cafeteria. Mrs. Lewis the cafeteria lady tries to sell the kids lamb chops. Bradley taunts Stacy with “ Okay, but if I said you had to choose between eating... a dead skunk... or a HUMAN EYEBALL” The Burpinator tries his best to belch Russell’s lunch out of existence, but runs out of gas. In a last ditch attempt to get away from Russell’s lunch, Stacy and Bradley hide in a broom closet -- only to find Mr. Coffin in there, pointing out that kids in broom closets is against the rules. Who’d a known he’d be in there... waiting. Eventually it’s William who puts an end to the life of Russell’s lunch, with a hard boiled egg fart. When Stacy gets to her Dad’s house for dinner that night, his cooking doesn’t look so bad compared to what she’d seen this day!

4a 4a "Return Your Seats to an Uptight Position"

“ Oh, you didn’t know? I’m going to be an airline pilot when I grow up.” Bradley is the clipboard carrying, over decorated Mr. Harold Examiner, from the international Aviation and wicked Uniforms Administration.” Stacy decides to skip the zillion years of school it takes to become a pilot, and just do the flight test. Her flight encounters unexpected turbans, really ugly weather patterns (tartan, polka-dot...) and some very hungry passenger windows. Having passed the test this far, the final step is upon her. Captain Stacy must deal with... international terrorists Lance and Russell, who eventually settle for a detour to Mr. Gristle for burgers. When it’s discovered that Russell ate the burger and has been in the lavatory for a very long time, an emergency landing is made. All passengers disembark safely. Bradley is really shaken by the whole experience, and decides the next time he travels, he’ll take the train. Guess Bradley didn’t know Stacy was kinda thinking of train engineer for a future career too...

4b 4b "Yams Away!"

This Thanksgiving, for his class project, Bradley is thankful for totally dumb stuff, like nostrils and that cactuses don’t have legs. Stacy is truly thankful for Thanksgiving, “...’cause my Mom is the best cook in the world, and she makes the best Thanksgiving Dinner in the SOLAR SYSTEM.” Bradley says Stacy’s Thanksgiving is doomed when she claims that is will be “the best one ever”. Then Stella tells Stacy that she has to work, and Stanley will take over the preparation of Stacy’s favorite meal of the year. Stacy begins to think Bradley is right. This will be the worst Thanksgiving ever! It’ll probably be Wennie Beans for dinner. Stacy can’t even get a turkey sandwich at the Mr. Quickie! Bradley tries to cheer her up to no avail. Even Mr. Doddler’s telling of the first Thanksgiving doesn’t cheer Stacy. Finally it’s time for dinner. Stacy decides that, for her Dad, she’ll make an effort. When she and Bradley walk into Stanley’s apartment, all the gang is there, having brought a wonderful pot luck Thanksgiving dinner, with all the trimmings. “And so I learned I have a lot more to be thankful for than I thought -- I have a Dad and a Mom who loves me -- in their own unique way -- and I have lots of friends who come through in the crunch, especially when you don’t expect them to. The end. Thank you. “

5a 5a "The Good, the Bad, and the Bradley"

The School day starts out with math class, where geometry takes on a life of its own, until Commander Bradley saves the planet from alien math domination! “That’s one small burp for Bradley... and one giant belch for MATH CLASS!” In the process he’s busted by Principal Coffin, and jailed in the principal’s office. Since, according to Miss Mobley, “...recent studies have shown that children with certain recurring behavioral problems often respond positively when given some level of personal responsibility...," Bradley is made Hall Monitor and the hallways of Middlestick Elementary School get a look at the wild side. The power of the position goes to Bradley’s head, creating cowboy showdowns, spy thrillers, super hero heroics, and the reality of contagious throwing up. It’s the “ornery vomits” that brings Bradley back to reality.

5b 5b "Bye Bye, Baby Birdie"

Bradley and Stacy are totally bored with television and decide to go bug Stella. Stacy’s mom is very busy trying to concentrate on paying the bills and orders the kids “outside!”. They are surprised to find that, if you look hard, there’s nature to be found even in the city - even around Latchkey Apartments! While Stacy fancies that they’re shooting a nature documentary, Bradley has more of a jungle safari in mind, with him as the big game hunter of course. In the course of catching the Bengal Snow (tomcat) tiger, our safari comes across the feared head hunters, Lance and Russell. Freedom is almost bought with a trunk load of Cheese Poopers, until Frank drools on the booty. Luckily Dill shows up just in time to do a little archeology, and explain what hieroglyphics are. (Dill’s so good at EXPLAINING.) Oh, wait. It’s not a tomb but the gym bag! Then, a real find -- Baby birds, only one of them is a dead baby bird. The question is, how to dispose of the body. Cryogenics, cremation, mummifying and burial at sea (“flush”) are all rejected. Finally the kids decide on burial in a nice plain box. Luckily the Ice Cream truck bells break the solemnity, and happiness reigns again.

6a 6a "Didn't'cha, Mr. D?"

Mr. Doddler attracts Bradley and Stacy’s attention when he has some difficulty with his laundry. The dryer has eaten one of Mr. D.’s socks. Isn’t it always the way. In the course of defending Mr. Doddler from the killer sock-eating Dryer monster, Bradley manages to Super Slash soak all the dry clothes. As the clothes dry, again, Stacy and Bradley ask their old friend about what it was like to do laundry when he was growing up. Guided by Bradley and Stacy’s questions, Mr. Doddler tells the history of his life, which encompasses the history of creation. We travel through time from washing clothes on a rock in a river, to walking miles through snow barefoot to school (before shoes were invented). Once there making your own pencils. Until Mr.D. was ten years old there wasn’t even color, and everything was black and white - no microwaves or video games. For fun you’d listen to the sound of the ocean in a sea shell. Back Mr. Doddler takes us, through knights and Dragons, Pyramids, dinosaurs, to a time of leglessness when Mr. D. wasn’t much better than primordial soup. Until finally, the dawn of time and the big bang.

8a 8a "Jumbo Frank"

While chasing the cat Bradley has brought home from school to earn a responsibility credit (Fluffy AKA “The Slasher”), Frank gets stuck in his doggie door, and so a diet is inflicted upon him. When Stanley says he doesn’t think there’s anything wrong with Frank, Stella suggests that perhaps Stanley could lose a few pounds too. And so Stanley and Frank both pursue food in the face of food being taken away from them. Frank eats everything in his path, while chasing Bradley’s cat all over the Latchkey Gardens. When it comes time for the weigh-in, Frank is ten pounds lighter. Must’ve been all that cat chasing. But wait, Stella is ten pounds lighter too. Stanley weighs in five pounds heavier and can’t figure why, since he adjusted the scales to ten pounds lighter. Oops.

8b 8b "Owed to a Tree"

When the city threatens to cut down the very best (and only) climbing tree in the neighborhood, Stacy and Bradley realize the value of ‘their’ tree. The tree has lifted a bit of sidewalk, and some one could trip and sue! The kids see that the tree is not only a place for them to hide and play, but also a place that hides many animals, like squirrels, cats, bugs... In an effort to save the tree, which also happens to be Frank the wiener dog’s favorite stop, Bradley and Stacy rally the Latchkey Apartment dwellers around a cause. It takes some tricky business from Bradley to motivate people to come to the tree, but in the end the city decides to do the good thing, and save the tree. Even gives the tree a plaque to ensure it’s future.
